The bestselling books in Canada this week

Well, here’s a bold title for a memoir: “James Patterson by James Patterson.” It’s over James Patterson (Surprise!). The subtitle: “The Stories of My Life,” which is halfway too clever considering Patterson is probably the most prolific storyteller alive, an author who has published in every imaginable genre, including children’s books and nonfiction. The memoirs rank 9th on the list of original non-fiction books.

On the Children and Young Adults List, Korean-American writer Jenny Han‘s early work is having a moment, likely because three Netflix adaptations based on her 2014 teenage romance To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before sparked interest in her. And because it’s about summer. This week’s list includes 2009’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” 2010’s “It’s Not Summer Without You,” and 2011’s “We’ll Always Have Summer.”
