DONARD

Football club notes

It’s been a momentous week on the field for our youth team. On Tuesday they drove to Blessington. Rarely do we come home from there with full points, but this time it was different. Where they usually win the battle in midfield, this year we dominated that area. Our defense was solid and our forwards flew. It was a good win against the leaders.

On Thursday we played Stratford away. Unfortunately, the opponent has difficulties in fielding a team. They had 15 but it was very weak and our boys had a quick win.

The team that played Blessington were: James Walsh, Aaron Moody, Kevin Osbourne, Declan Healy, Jack Keogh, Dean Flynn, Dan Furlong, Pat Flynn, Ben Lawless, Darren O’Neill, Ed Flynn, Tommy Dwyer, Liam Mullen, Joe Mills, Ray Halloran, Liam Byrne and Mick Byrne.

There was no lottery jackpot winner last week. TP Flynn, Natalie Case, Biddy and TP and Biddy Curran tied three and won €50 each. The next draw will be held in Davidstown on Monday 4th July.
